Rare and unusual vintage gents stainless steel Zenith Key Hole wristwatch.  Circa 1960’s.  Two tone champagne Zenith dial with dot hour markers.  Stainless steel bezel.  Zenith star crown.  Swiss made, automatic self winding movement.  Comes on a leather Tokki Project strap with a stainless steel Tokki Project tang buckle.  Approximate diameter is 35mm.

The dial has patina and some minor spotting throughout.  The hands have some minor spotting.  The crystal has scratches throughout.  The watch has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age.  Overall condition is good.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

Zenith introduced the “Key Hole” model in 1965 to celebrate 100 years of Zenith in stainless steel or 18k yellow gold.  The dials were either plain or a two tone futuristic style.  Some Zenith Keyhole models are #A6621, #8566, #MNE 26646, and #A6620.

Zenith was founded by Georges Favre-Jacot in 1865.  He revolutionized manufacturing by bringing together all of the watchmaking professions in one facility.  Throughout the years, Zenith won several awards for their innovative designs and models.  They created the first Zenith El Primero with an integrated self winding chronograph movement in 1969.  And they celebrated their 150th Anniversary in 2015 by introducing the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969.  Some iconic Zenith lines are the Zenith Defy, Zenith El Primero, Zenith Elite, Zenith Chronomaster, and the Zenith Pilot.
