Rare men’s stainless steel and yellow gold Omega Speedmaster chronograph wristwatch with silver dial, ref #175.0032.  Silver Omega dial with applied gold bar hour markers.  Tachymetre bezel.  Hesalite crystal.  Swiss made, self winding automatic movement.   Comes on a stainless steel and yellow gold Omega bracelet.  Accompanied by a fitted Omega watch box.  Approximate diameter is 39mm.

Has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age.  The Hesalite crystal has hairline scratches in some areas.  The hands have minor spotting throughout.  The bracelet has some small areas where the gold is absent which is a normal occurrence with tutone Omega Speedmasters.  There’s a gap between two links on the bracelet as shown in the last image.   The overall condition of the watch is good.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

The silver dial on this tutone Omega Speedmaster is rare.  Common dial colors for the stainless steel and yellow gold Omega Speedmaster are champagne, white, and black.

In 1848, Louis Brandt founded La Generale Watch Co. in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.  In 1903, he changed the name to Louis Brandt et Frere – Omega Watch & Co which was changed once more to the current Omega SA in 1982.  Throughout it’s rich history, Omega was chosen as the official watch for Britain’s Royal Flying Corps in 1917, the US Army in 1918, and most famously for NASA in 1969.  Some of Omega’s most well known models are – Omega Speedmaster Professional, Omega Speedmaster, Omega Seamaster, Omega Constellation, Omega De Ville, Omega Dynamic, Omega Flightmaster, and Omega Railmaster.  Not as widely known, Omega even created a Tourbillon in 1947.
