Condition:  Has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age.  The lip at the bottom of the case back has some scratches which is expected as this is where the case back is opened to access the movement.  Overall condition of the watch is good.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.
Special Notes:  The crown side of the case has a hallmark.  The inside and outside of the case is stamped 18K.

Constant Girard founded Girard & Cie in 1852.  He married Marie Perregaux and their company become known as Girard-Perregaux Manufacture in 1856.  They won several awards for their Tourbillon watches in the mid to late 1800’s.  They went on to secure around 80 patents with their innovative concepts.  Some iconic models include the Girard Perregaux Three Bridge Tourbillon, Girard Perregaux Vintage 1945, Girard Perregaux 1966, Girard Perregaux Laureato, and Girard Perregaux Cat’s Eye.  They also collaborated with Ferrari and Team BMW Oracle Racing for several watch models.
