Lot #AN3225 – Rare Men’s Mahara MHR Watch

Rare men’s stainless steel MHR Mahara wristwatch.  Salmon colored MHR Geneve dial with black painted Arabic hour markers and “Mercedes” style hands.  MHR screw down crown.  Swiss made, self winding automatic movement.   Comes on a MHR leather strap with a stainless steel MHR deployant buckle.  Accompanied by a MHR watch box and MHR hang tag.  Approximate diameter is 33mm.

Appears to have been in storage for the past several years.  Has superficial scratches due to storage and age.  Overall condition is excellent.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

Dominique-Marie Pibouleau founded MHR Mahara in 1987.  Pibouleau created MHR dials based on pre-World War II aircrafts with the over sized 3, 6, 9, and 12 hour markers.  In addition to the larger numbers, MHR offered various dials colors that became extremely popular especially in Italy, Japan, and the United States.  Some favorite models of the collectors were the MHR Sparviero, MHR Britannia, and MHR Red Devil.  In 2000, Franck Muller Watchland acquired MHR (Mahara Montres Geneva).
