Vintage 14k white gold men`s Universal Geneve White Shadow wristwatch.  Blue Universal Geneve dial with applied silver hour markers.  Swiss made, automatic mechanical movement.  Case back stamped 14K.WG.  Comes on a generic leather watch strap with a generic tang buckle.  Approximate diameter is 35mm.

The watch has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age.  The case back has a pen point sized ding and a couple of small dings around the case.  The dial has small areas where the paint is absent which contributes to the speckling effect.   The dial has spider cracks throughout giving it a spider web effect.  The hands have spotting throughout.  The plastic crystal has crazing throughout.  Overall condition of the watch is good.  NOT RUNNING at the time of inspection.  This watch will REQUIRE SERVICE.  Water resistance/proofness not tested. An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

The White Shadow was designed by the late, Gerald Genta, while working at Universal Geneve.  Genta is also the designer who was responsible for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus, IWC Ingenieur, and many other iconic watch models.
